Our Mission
Provide life and leadership skills to promising youth through full scholarship in Scouts BSA and partial scholarship to post-secondary education.
What we do
Launching Life’s Leaders provides recipients with a full scholarship to participate in a local Scouts BSA troop, including dues, gear, and more. Furthermore, we provide a partial scholarship for post-secondary education to each participant who attains the rank of Eagle—the pinnacle of Scouting. Working with the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield, we identify eligible participants based on financial need and dedication to achieving program goals.
Why Scouting?
Scouting has long been recognized to have a lasting positive impact on the character of youth who participate. This positive influence is even more significant for those who attain the ultimate rank of Eagle Scout, which requires additional commitment and demonstration of citizenship, caring for the community, leadership qualities, and self-sufficiency.
